Williamsport Crosscutters News Release

The Williamsport Crosscutters announced a price freeze today. All ticket prices for the upcoming 2009 season will remain the same as last year.

This pricing announcement includes all tickets and ticket plans including season tickets, bonus books, single-game tickets and group tickets. In addition, the team is holding the price on its all-you-can eat picnic ticket at $20 per person while actually lowering the picnic price for children by 50% to $10.

In announcing the pricing plan, Cutters Vice-President General Manager Doug Estes stated, "It's no secret that our cost of doing business is going up every day. But in our challenging economy, we felt it imperative that we not only hold the line on our ticket pricing, but that we continue to look for ways to give fans more value than ever before."

"The Williamsport Crosscutters are committed to helping area consumers, our fans, get the best bang for their buck while providing wholesome, family entertainment in the unique atmosphere of Historic Bowman Field. With advance ticket rates starting at $3.50 per ticket and our highest price ticket of $7.00, Minor League Baseball in Williamsport is and always will be affordable entertainment for the entire family"

All 2009 ticket plans are eligible for the new "Buy Now, Pay Later" no-interest option. The newly introduced plan allows fans to purchase their season tickets or bonus books now with no payments until June.

The Crosscutters are also announcing the creation of a new "Family 4-Pack" where families can get four general admission tickets, four hot dogs, a souvenir program and a 20% discount in the Sawmill Team Store for just $21.00. The offer is good for any Monday-Thursday home game.

This season, fans have the opportunity to win a trip for 4 to see the Cutters parent club, the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Ballpark. The trip includes four game tickets and round-trip deluxe transportation. All 2009 Season Ticket and Bonus Book buyers will be entered into drawings to win one of the two trips to be given away this summer.

The team plans to announce even more money-saving pricing announcements as the season draws closer.

The Crosscutters 2009 home opener is slated for Saturday, June 20 against the rival State College Spikes. To purchase or find more information on Crosscutters ticket plans and picnics fans can log on at www.crosscutters.com or call the Cutters Hotline at (570) 326-3389.
