RHP Carlos Pimentel kept the Intimidators at two runs through the seventh inning with 2.2 scoreless frames of work, but Kannapolis extended their lead to 4-1 with two tallies (one earned) against LHP Yoon-Hee Nam in the bottom of the eighth inning. 2B Daniel Wagner doubled to lead off the frame, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt and came in on an RBI single by 3B Jon Gilmore. Gilmore then advanced all the way to third on an error, before coming home on a sacrifice fly by LF Luis Sierra, accounting for the final 4-1 score.
