
Cracker-Cats trade Bennett, Cierlik

(Edmonton, AB) â The Edmonton Cracker-Cats announced today they have traded pitchers Derek Bennett and Jason Cierlik to Schaumburg for future considerations.
Bennett, originally selected with Edmonton's seventh pick in November's expansion draft, returns to Schaumburg where he posted a 1-3, 5.20 record for the Flyers in 2004. Also returning to Schaumburg is Cierlik, who was Edmonton's sixth round selection in the expansion draft. The lefty posted an 0-2, 3.58 record in 2004.
