Coyotes Sign C Tim Kennedy

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed center Tim Kennedy to a one-year, two-way contract. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Last season, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound Kennedy recorded 2-0-2 and two penalty minutes (PIM) in 13 games with San Jose. He also registered 13-24-37 and 14 PIM in 37 games with the Worcester Sharks (AHL).

In parts of five NHL seasons with the Sharks, Florida Panthers, and Buffalo Sabres, the 27-year-old native of Buffalo, N.Y., has played in 125 regular season games, recording 13-18-31 and 56 PIM. He has also appeared in nine Stanley Cup Playoff games, totaling 1-2-3 and six PIM.

Kennedy was originally drafted by the Washington Capitals in the sixth round (181st overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
