Courtney Vandersloot Earns Seventh Career WNBA Peak Performer Award in Assists

NEW YORK - New York Liberty point guard, Courtney Vandersloot, has earned the 2023 WNBA Peak Performer Award in assists for the seventh time in her career after finishing the 2023 regular season with a league-best 8.1 assists per game.

In her first season in New York, Vandersloot saw action in 39 contests where she dished a career-high total of 314 assists, led the Liberty to a league-best and franchise-record 24.1 assists per game, set the WNBA single-season team assist record (965), and most notably, the all-time WNBA record for team assist percentage (75.0%) - edging her former Chicago Sky team from 2022.

Since the award was instituted in 2007, Courtney's seven league-best finishes in assists per game now paces the history books by four, with Lindsay Whalen earning the second-most all-time with three-career Peak Performer Awards in assists.
