Morrisville, NC (Feb. 24, 2003) - Carolina Courage midfielder Unni Lehn underwent successful surgery to repair a minor injury her right knee last week. The arthroscopic procedure was performed in Norway, where Lehn suffered the injury training for the upcoming WUSA season.
The timetable for Lehn's rehabilitation, 2-4 weeks, leaves open the possibility of her participation for Norway in next month's Algarve Cup in Portugal. Lehn is expected to make a full recovery in time for the beginning of the WUSA season in April.
The Courage will begin its defense of the Founders Cup trophy on Saturday, April 5th at 2 pm at SAS Stadium in Cary. The season will begin in dramatic fashion with a rematch of the championship game, as Mia Hamm and the Washington Freedom come to town.
