For the ninth-time his season and the first in 2012, the Kalamazoo Wings will tangle with their division rivals, the Chicago Express. On the season, Kalamazoo is 4-2-0-1 versus Chicago and 3-0-0-0 in games played at Wings Stadium.
Despite a shootout loss last night to Gwinnett, Kalamazoo extended their unbeaten streak to four games (3-0-0-1), which is tied for the longest current unbeaten streak in the Eastern Conference. With 64 points, the K-Wings are in first place in the North Division.
This afternoon will be the first of two straight at Wings Stadium for the Express, who will also roll into town next Friday. Winless in their last five games (0-4-1-0), Chicago has dropped into third place in the North Division, one point behind the Cincinnati Cyclones for second and 11 points behind Kalamazoo.

Forward Darryl Bootland enters tonight nearing an impressive milestone. Bootland next point will be his 300th of his career.
Ending a Drought
Back on February 9th, defenseman Joe Charlebois snapped a 79-game K-Wings scoring drought. The next longest span of games without a goal is defenseman Wes O'Neill, who hasn't scored in his last 21 games (dates back to last year) as a member of the K-Wings.
First Day of the Week
This afternoon will be the K-Wings sixth of nine Sunday games this season. So far on the campaign, Kalamazoo is 5-0-0-0 in contests played on Sunday.
