Kalamazoo Wings News Release
This afternoon will be the first of four straight games in a span of seven days between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Wheeling Nailers. Kalamazoo is 2-2-0-0 against Wheeling and lost 10-1 in their last meeting back on February 6th at the WesBanco Arena.
A loss last night to the Trenton Devils dropped the K-Wings three points behind the Cincinnati Cyclones for first place in the North Division. With Cincinnati idle today, a victory would move Kalamazoo to within a single point of the top spot in the division.
Winners of two straight, the Nailers are currently in fourth place in the North Division. With 64 points, Wheeling is in 10th place overall in the American Conference; however, they are only two points behind the Reading Royals for the final playoff spot in the conference.
