Ben Gordon Returned To Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Ben Gordon has been returned to the Royals from the Abbotsford Heat of the AHL. In separate transactions, the Royals (i) transferred forward Marc Cavosie from the 3-Day Injured Reserve to the 7-Day IR; and (ii) placed forward Bryan Ewing on the 3-Day Injured Reserve.

In this most recent stint in the AHL, Gordon, a second year pro from International Falls, Minnesota, was loaned to the Heat on February 25, 2010, and played six games for Abbotsford, registering one assist on two penalty minutes. In sixteen total AHL games this year, Gordon, who has had four separate stints in the AHL with the Providence Bruins, Toronto Marlies, and the Heat, has picked up seven points (2g-5a) and six penalty minutes. In forty-five games with Reading this season, Gordon leads the team with fifty-six points (21g-35a).

The Royals return to action this afternoon (Sunday, March 14, 2010 @ 5:05) when Elmira Jackals visit the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will begin at 4:35 pm.
