Making their second to last regular season appearance to the Perani Arena, the Kalamazoo Wings are set to battle the Flint Generals. The K-Wings are 8-0-0-0 versus the Generals this season, with five of those victories coming at the Perani Arena.
Riding a four-game winning streak, the K-Wings are in second place in the IHL and are one point behind the Port Huron Icehawks. Tonight will also start a stretch of three games in the three nights for Kalamazoo. The K-Wings will return home tomorrow to host Bloomington and return to the road Saturday to face Muskegon.
Flint snapped a five-game losing streak on Sunday with a thrilling 7-6 shootout victory at the Perani Arena versus the Fort Wayne Komets. With just two victories in their last nine games, the Generals remain in fifth place in the IHL, four points ahead of the Bloomington PrairieThunder.

On Monday, forward Rick Cleaver was named the IHL's Aquafina Rookie of the Month for December, as well as Rookie of the Week. Cleaver, who is currently on a K-Wings' season-high tying four-game goal streak, concluded the month with 15 points (8 goals and 7 assists).
