For the final time in the regular season, the Kalamazoo Wings will face-off against the Rockford IceHogs. Kalamazoo is 1-2-2 versus Rockford this season; however, the K-Wings did defeat the IceHogs 6-1 in their last appearance at the MetroCentre back on January 6th. Kalamazoo leads the all-time series over Rockford with a record of 34-22-10.
Kalamazoo will finish off their two-game road trip looking to snap two streaks. The K-Wings, who are winless in their last three-games, are 0-2-1 during the stretch. Kalamazoo will also try to snap a two-game road losing streak. Kalamazoo starts the tonight 11 points behind Muskegon for first place in the Eastern Conference and five points behind Rockford and Fort Wayne for second place in the league.
This evening commences a big weekend for the IceHogs. Rockford, who is tied for the Western Conference lead and second place overall in the UHL with Fort Wayne, will face-off against the Komets tomorrow. Rockford's playoff seeding will be determined how well they play at home, as nine of their last 13 contests will be played at the MetroCentre.

Leader of the Pack
Goaltender Ryan Nie leads all UHL netminders in both goals against average (2.10) and save percentage (0.928). Nie, whose last five victories have been via shutouts, also leads the league with six perfect games.
Snapping a Streak
Kalamazoo enters the MetroCentre looking to get back into to win column. Winless in their last three games (0-2-1), the K-Wings are just 1-3-1 in their last five games. Besides the three-game winless streak, Kalamazoo will also attempt to snap a two-game road losing streak.
Nearing 200
Forward Kory Karlander is closing in on a personal milestone. Karlander needs just two goals to reach 200 in his professional career.
