Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Facing off for the first of two meeting this weekend will be the Kalamazoo Wings and the Fort Wayne Komets. Despite dropping two straight contests at Memorial Coliseum, Kalamazoo leads the season series against Fort Wayne with a record of 4-3-0. The two arch-rivals will meet again this Sunday for a 4 p.m. face-off at Wings Stadium.
Kalamazoo is in search of its first victory since January 26th versus the Elmira Jackals. The four-game winless streak (0-3-1) is a season high for the K-Wings. Tonight will also conclude a three-game road swing for Kalamazoo. Following this evening's encounter, Kalamazoo will return to Wings Stadium for three straight games.
Since losing to Chicago on January 14th, no team has been able to stop Fort Wayne. The Komets are on a league current high and a personal season high eight-game winning streak. During the stretch, Fort Wayne has rung up two victories over Kalamazoo and as a result, lead the K-Wings by six points for second place overall in the league.
