Kalamazoo Wings News Release
The night the city of Kalamazoo has been waiting 26 years for has finally arrived. Prior to the K-Wings game against the Generals, Kalamazoo will hold a ceremony to honor last season's Colonial Cup Championship team. The ceremony will include the banner raising, presentation of the rings and fireworks.
The K-Wings return home looking to remain perfect on the season, Last week, Kalamazoo swept two games from the Elmira Jackals by a combined score of 9-1. A big reason for the team's success has been the ability to receive scoring from array of players; so far 12 skaters have contributed to the K-Wings scoring.
Flint comes into Wings Stadium looking to rebound from a 5-0 home loss to the Chicago Hounds. So far this season, the Generals are 1-0-0 away from Flint. In their three games, the Generals have scored three goals, all of which have been scored while on the power-play.

New Faces
Kalamazoo has added Chris McAllister and Mathieu Wathier to the roster. McAllister, who was signed on Thursday, was placed the team's 7-Day IR, while Wathier is making his debut tonight.
Killing Time
The K-Wings lead the league in penalty killing percentage. In two games last week, Kalamazoo killed off all 17 opposing power-play opportunities they faced, which is six percent better than the Chicago Hounds, who have the second in penalty killing at 94.7%.
Nearing a Milestone
Forward Tyler Willis is closing in on two personal milestones. Willis needs four assists to reach 200 for his career. The veteran is also one assist shy of reaching 100 in his K-Wings career.
Goalie of the Week
Goaltender Tom Askey was a stone wall in both of the K-Wings victories last week. Askey earned the league's Southern Sports Supply Goaltender of the Week after going 2-0-0 and stopping 57 of the 58 shots he faced against Elmira.
