Kalamazoo Wings News Release

The Kalamazoo Wings and the Rockford IceHogs will lace-up their skates tonight for game two of the UHL Colonial Cup Semi-Finals. The K-Wings took a one game to none lead in the best of seven series last night with a 3-1 victory at Wings Stadium.

The eight-day layoff didn't seem to affect the K-Wings, who scored the game's first three goals. Kalamazoo was led by Nick Bootland and Jason Deitsch, who each recorded a goal and an assist in the victory. Entering tonight, Kalamazoo is looking to extend a five-game winning streak.

With the series heading to the Rockford MetroCentre tomorrow, the IceHogs would love to win tonight and have the series even heading back to Rockford. With a point last night, forward Greg Barber now has seven in the playoffs, which ties him with Yannick Tifu for their IceHogs team lead in scoring.
