The K-Wings start a four-game road swing tonight with their last trip of the season to the Kemper Arena to battle the Kansas City Outlaws. The K-Wings are 5-1-1 against the Outlaws this season, including a 3-1-0 record at the Kemper Arena.

Kalamazoo enters the game as the hottest team in the UHL. The K-Wings are on a six-game winning streak, as well as are unbeaten in regulation in their last nine games (8-0-1). Kalamazoo is also riding a franchise record eight-game road winning streak. With 96 points, the K-Wings are just six points behind the Muskegon Fury for the both the top spot in the Central Division and the entire league.

With the playoffs out of reach, Kansas City will have to play the rest of the season in the roll of spoiler. The Outlaws are winless in their last five games; however, the Outlaws do play their best hockey at home. This season, the Outlaws are 15-15-5 at the Kemper Arena.

Road Warriors

Besides being unbeaten in their last nine games, the K-Wings are also on an eight-game road winning streak. The eight-game road winning streak is the longest current streak in the UHL and a K-Wings UHL franchise record. The UHL record for consecutive road wins is 11-games, held by the 1999-00 Quad City Mallards and B.C. Icemen. The K-Wings are starting a four-game road swing with tonight's game in Kansas City.

One More Win

With their next victory, the K-Wings will reestablish their UHL franchise record for most victories in a season. With 45 wins, this years K-Wings team is tied with last year's club for most wins in a season.

Feeling Lucky

Forward Andrew Luciuk enters tonight on a four-game point streak. The four-game streak is the longest current streak by a K-Wings player. In his last four games, the veteran forward has recorded an astonishing 10 points. Earlier this week, Luciuk was named the UHL Sher-Wood Player of the Week.
