Kalamazoo Wings News Release
After opening their gifts yesterday, the Kalamazoo Wings and the Rockford IceHogs return to the ice. This is the third meeting between the teams this season and the first at Wings Stadium. The K-Wings are 1-1-0 against the IceHogs this season; however, the K-Wings have the momentum in the series, as they won the last encounter against Rockford 6-0 at the MetroCentre.
The K-Wings have won two straight at Wings Stadium, which ties their longest home winning streak of the season. Kalamazoo ¬â¢s Mike Manley enters this afternoon ¬â¢s game on a three game point streak. Manley has registered six points in his last three games.
After losing late in their game Wednesday night against the Fort Wayne Komets, the IceHogs are ready to lace up their skates and try to regain the top spot in the Western Division. The loss to the Komets puts Rockford one point behind Fort Wayne for first place in the west.
