Countdown to Face-Off
December 17, 2004 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Tonight starts the biggest three games in three nights this season for the K-Wings. With two games on the slate against the Muskegon Fury a K-Wings sweep of the weekend would put them second place within their division.
Despite losing in a shootout, the late second heroics of Yannick Carpentier's goal against the Richmond RiverDogs last Wednesday, makes the K-Wings unbeaten in regulation in their last three games. Kalamazoo starts the night just three points behind Muskegon for second place in the Central Division.
The road hasn't been kind for the Fury. Muskegon, who ends their four game road swing tonight, is winless in their last three games. Tonight also starts a big Central Division weekend for Muskegon. After the game against the K-Wings, the Fury will head back home to host both Port Huron on Saturday and Kalamazoo this Sunday. On the season, the Fury are 8-1-0 against their own division.
