Cougars Announce Broadcast Schedule For 2008 Season

GENEVA, IL - Kane County Cougars fans can catch all the play-by-play action during the 2008 season on WBIG 1280 AM, as the Aurora-based radio station will carry full coverage of the Cougars throughout the upcoming season.

Radio announcer Jeff Hem, an Aurora native, steps to the mike for his fourth season as the voice of the Cougars. Both home and road games will be broadcast, beginning with the season opener on April 3 at Beloit.

In keeping up with today's technology, each Cougars game will also be available via streaming audio courtesy of AllinBroadasting.com. The station, which specializes in streaming media, will be linked to the Cougars website (www.kccougars.com) and provide easy access to listening for Cougars fans worldwide. Fans will be able to follow the team via streaming audio, even while the squad is playing away from Elfstrom Stadium. All games will be archived on the Cougars website, providing fans on-demand access to past games in their entirety.

The Cougars begin their 18th season of professionally-affiliated baseball on Thursday, April 3rd in Wisconsin against the Beloit Snappers. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. and WBIG will begin the broadcast at 6:15 p.m. Several days later, the Cougars open up their home schedule against the Burlington Bees on Monday, April 7th. The pre-game show will air at 2:45 p.m. with the first pitch slated for 3 p.m.
