Quad Cities River Bandits News Release

The Quad Cities River Bandits have announced the team's first ever Superstar Showcase, scheduled for March 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Modern Woodmen Park, giving fans the opportunity to show off their talents for the chance to perform live and on-field during River Bandits games!

"The Quad Cities are full of talented people," said team owner Dave Heller. "We want to get them involved on the field and in the crowd at Modern Woodmen Park. The River Bandits are about a lot more than just baseball, and we're looking forward to entertaining our fans a hundred different ways."

In addition to National Anthem singers and mascot actors, the River Bandits are looking for talented Quad Citians to perform on the field prior to the start of games in 2008. From cheerleading crews to jugglers, baton twirlers to dance groups, and clowns to magicians, this is your chance to show off your special talent in front of excited, local fans. Solo acts and group acts are both welcome. The River Bandits are also looking for talent to entertain fans outside the ballpark on game days and in the stands during games.

"I encourage everybody to come down to the ballpark on March 15 and show us what you've got," said Vice President/General Manager Kirk Goodman. "This is all about having a great time with great people. I have no doubt there are going to be some fantastic acts that come out of the auditions on Saturday, and as a staff we can't wait to get a sneak-peak ourselves."

Those who cannot make it to the Superstar Showcase on March 15 are encouraged to coordinate another time to audition their act or send in an audition tape. To do so, please contact Stefanie Brown, Director of Community and Client Relations, by phone at (563) 333-2744 or by email at Stefanie@RiverBandits.com.
