The RiverKings have since taken on the Mississippi place name, being located right across the state line from Memphis in DeSoto County. The 'Kings began their twentieth season of professional hockey in the Memphis area in style with a win in their SPHL debut on Saturday night against Pensacola. Former CHL Defenseman of the Year Derek Landmesser leads the RiverKings behind the bench, which includes familiar faces such as former Cottonmouth Kyle Lundale, and players who have graced other SPHL rosters, such as Trevor Karasiewicz, Mike Tuomi, and all-time league-leading goal scorer Rob Sich. PROMOTIONS: Viewing Party at Illusions-fans can watch the Snakes on the road at Illusions on Veterans Parkway; admission is free and fans must be 21 to enter.
