Cottonmouths Announce Pocket Schedule Contest Winner

August 21, 2007 - SPHL (SPHL)
Columbus Cottonmouths News Release

The Columbus Cottonmouths announced today that 13-year old Brandon Dorrill of Phenix City has won the pocket schedule artwork contest, and his design is featured on the cover of the Snakes' 2007-08 pocket schedule.

A sixth grader at South Girard Junior High School, Dorrill is a member of the junior varsity soccer team at Central High School. He enjoys soccer and R-C racing. Brandon has attended several Cottonmouths games, and admits 'the fights' are his favorite part of the game. He also claims Jerome 'Boom Boom' Bechard was his favorite player.

An avid soccer player, Brandon's idea for his artwork stemmed from a design he found on the internet.

"I saw a soccer ball with a logo wrapped around it, and it gave me the idea to do a puck and wrap a snake head around it." He said.

Dorrill will be awarded four VIP seats for the game on opening night, including the privilege of dropping the ceremonial first puck, and a team-autographed souvenir.

The Columbus Cottonmouths received numerous entries and would like to thank everyone for their participation. Pocket schedules are now available in the Cottonmouths office, and will soon be delivered to local area businesses.

The Snakes opens the season with home games, Oct. 26 and 27 versus the Huntsville Havoc and Fayetteville Fire Antz, respectively. Only two weeks remain to receive your pre-September discounted season tickets! For more information, contact the Cottonmouths office at 706 571 0086.
