Saginaw Spirit News Release
Saginaw, Michigan - USA Hockey announced Friday the 42 players selected to participate in the 2018 World Junior Summer Showcase. Among those 42 players is Saginaw Spirit forward Cole Coskey.
The players will audition for a spot on the U.S. National Junior Team that will take part in the 2019 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship, Dec. 26, 2018, through Jan. 5, 2019, in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia.
Coskey, 19, is entering his fourth season with the Spirit after Saginaw made him their third round selection in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. Coskey played his Minor Hockey for the Chicago Mission Under-16 team and will be reunited with his once teammate, now Barrie Colts defenseman Joey Keane.
Coskey is the highest scoring returner to this year's lineup posting career-highs in Goals (27), Assists (23), and Points (50) during the 2017-18 season.
The USA Hockey Summer Showcase will be held from July 28 - August 4 in Kamloops, British Colombia, home of the Western Hockey League's Kamloops Blazers.
