Corey Syvret Traded to Alaska

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans, members of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers, have announced the trade of defenseman Corey Syvret to the Alaska Aces for future considerations.

A native of Millgrove, Ontario, Canada, Syvret (6-2, 195, Shoots L) was a sixth round (#181 overall) selection of the Florida Panthers in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Syvret came to the Titans last season after a year with the Kalamazoo Wings and brief stint in the AHL with Rochester. For Trenton He played 59 games, recording 10 points (4 G, 6 A), 18 PIM and a minus-11 rating. Syvret also saw time in the AHL, called up by the Portland Pirates for three games. In his ECHL career, Syvret has 66 PIM, a minus-11 rating and those 10 points in 87 games.

The Trenton Titans returned in the 2011-12 hockey season after a five year hiatus and boasted a 26.1% increase in attendance over the previous year, the largest of any team in the 20-team ECHL. Opening Night for the 2012-13 season is October 12 at home against the Greenville Road Warriors.
