Carl Corazzini, recalled by the Boston Bruins from Providence on January 13, scored his first two NHL goals in Tuesday night's 4-1 victory over the New York Rangers. The 24-year-old native of Framingham, Massachusetts, now playing in his third professional season, scored the first goal of the game on a shorthanded tally at 1:34 of the second period. He scored the final goal of the game at 9:33 of the second period.

Corazzini, a 5'10", 182-pound right wing, still leads Providence with 12 goals and leads the AHL with four shorthanded goals. His total of 18 points ranks third on the P-Bruins. Corazzini had posted 6-1-7 totals in his last seven games at the time of his recall. Those totals included three shorthanded goals, two power play goals and two game-winning goals. Corazzini was originally signed by Boston as a free agent out of Boston University on August 8, 2001.
