Cooper, Wade and Farley Ranked in the NHL Central Scouting Midterm Rankings

FARGO, ND -The National Hockey League released the Central Scouting Midterm Rankings this morning of draft-eligible players for the 2012 NHL entry draft June 22-23. Three Fargo Force players were ranked in the top 210 for North American players: Brian Cooper, Justin Wade and Austin Farley.

Defenseman Brian Cooper was ranked 51 overall and was the 19th defenseman ranked. Cooper, named Captain at the start of the 2011-12 season, is in his third year with the Force posting 12 points thus far in 25 games played with 3 goals and 9 assists. He is a stay-at-home defenseman with good speed and a booming shot from the blue line. He is committed to play his collegiate hockey at the University of Nebraska-Omaha in the fall.

Justin Wade, defenseman, was ranked 166 overall in the list that was dominated by defense. Wade is in his second season and currently has 1 assist in 27 games played. He is a defensive defenseman and has good size, standing at 6'2, 210 pounds. Wade is committed to the University of Notre Dame.

Forward Austin Farley was ranked 187 overall and currently sits fourth in the USHL in scoring with 37 points scoring 19 goals and 18 assists in 29 games played. He is second in the league in goals alone behind Kevin Roy from Lincoln who has 24. Farley is committed to play his college hockey at the University of Minnesota-Duluth with former Fargo Force Head Coach Jason Herter who is currently Assistant Coach with the Bulldogs.
