Augusta GreenJackets News Release

Columbia, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets 10-5 victory didn't come easy on a cold spring day in Columbia. The GreenJackets were down to the Fireflies for most of the afternoon.

Then the rally started as the GreenJackets were able to cut into the lead with a fly ball single from Orlando Garcia that scored Manuel Geraldo. Then with the bases loaded later in the inning, Robert Calabrese tripled to clear the bases and make it a 6-5 GreenJackets lead.

In the 7th, the destruction continued as Jacob Gonzalez's double scored Heliot Ramos. Later in the inning, Garcia's double scored Geraldo and Gonzalez. After the inning, the GreenJackets were up 9-5 and had the game in hand.
