Connecticut Sun Looking For Community MVP's

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (May 27, 2009) - The Connecticut Sun announced today that nominations are now being accepted for the 2009 Connecticut Sun-MyTV9 Community MVP Program, in association with Camaro Signs of Yantic.

Community MVPs are those individuals who have made an overwhelming impact on the lives of others in the local area. Recipients who are making exceptional and lasting contributions to the community through their unique commitment and humanitarian spirit will be selected for throughout the 2009 season.

Those individuals chosen to receive the Community MVP Award will be honored with a commemorative plaque, presented at center court, and a photo opportunity with a Sun player. Following the game, the individuals' photo and story about why they are a Connecticut Sun-MyTV9 Community MVP will be available on the Sun website.

Anyone wishing to nominate such an individual can submit, in 150 words or less, why the nominee is deserving of the Connecticut Sun-MyTV9 Community MVP Award. Examples of the nominee's level of commitment and contributions to the community must be included. The Connecticut Sun tip off their seventh season at Mohegan Sun Arena on June 6th with a 4 p.m. game against the Washington Mystics.
