Connecticut Signs Foley To Training Camp Contract

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (March 5, 2008) - The Connecticut Sun announced Wednesday that Jessica Foley has been signed to a training camp contract.

As per team policy, no terms were announced.

Foley is a 6-foot guard from Australia who was the top three-point shooter in the WNBL this season, making 34 of 72 attempts (47.2 percent) for the Adelaide Lighting, the top team in the league. The 24-year-old Foley is the teammate of Sun point guard Erin Phillips.

Foley played four seasons at Duke, where she set a single-season team record with 68 made three-pointers as a junior. Foley was originally selected by the Indiana Fever in the third round of the 2006 WNBA Draft with the 38th overall pick.

The Connecticut Sun opens its sixth season of play on May 17th by hosting the Atlanta Dream in Mohegan Sun Arena. Season tickets and mini-plans are on sale now and can be reserved by calling a Sun Ticket Sales Representative at 1.877.SUN.TIXX (786-8499).
