
Condors Opening Night against Ontario this Saturday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors will open the regular season on the Mercy & Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena, as they host their newest rival, the Ontario Reign, on Saturday, Oct. 18. Doors open at 6 p.m., puck drops at 7 p.m.
Saturday night is Magnet Schedule Giveaway, courtesy of ESPN Radio 1230 and Mercy & Memorial Hospitals. Everyone in attendance will receive a 2008-09 Condors season schedule magnet, so you never forget when your hometown team takes the ice.
Beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, fans are invited to a party on the plaza with the Anaheim Ducks mascot, Wild Wing, the Ducks Power Players and Street Team. There will also be Ducks inflatable enforces, the Ducks Slapshot with a built-in radar so you can see the speed of your slapshot and Ducks bouncehouse.
Super fan, Cameron Hughes will be in attendance during the game, pumping up the crowd with his unique and entertaining form of shenanigans. The Ducks Power Players Girls along with Wild Wing, will pose with fans in the Condors photo booth, located behind section 111/112, prior to the game and during the second intermission. Finally, a choir with members from Rosedale Middle School, Centennial, Del Rio, American and Independence Elementary Schools will serenade fans from center ice with a musical performance during the first intermission.
Following the game, Condors players Dave Bonk and Matt Pope will be at the Holiday Inn Select Autograph Booth, located on the concourse behind section 108. Bonk and Pope will arrive at the booth approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game to meet fans and sign autographs.
Saturday's game will be televised live on Bright House Networks Channel 21. All televised games will be available on Bakersfield On Demand Cable Channel 300 the following day.
On Wednesday, Oct. 22, the Condors play host to the Stockton Thunder for the annual Toy Drive, brought to you by ABC23 and R&D Leather Furniture. Fans that donate a new, unwrapped toy will receive $1 terrace admission to Wednesday's game. This is the fifth year of the Toy Drive, which has brought in nearly 1,000 toys in its history, which will be donated to needy families in Kern County during the Holiday season.

Condors Coach's Show Debut:
The Condors Coach's Show will air live on ESPN Radio 1230 from its new location at the Hungry Hunter at 3580 Rosedale Hwy and at its new time from 5 to 6 p.m. This week's Condors Coach's Show will feature D Tyler Scott, Head Coach Marty Raymond and is hosted by the "Voice of the Condors" Kevin Bartl.

Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days.
