Upcoming week of June 17th â June 23rd:
· Monday, June 17th - Friday, June 23rd - The Condors annual Summer Roller Hockey Camp starts today. Coach Paul Kelly and Condors players Jamie Cooke, Jeff Goldie, and Paul Willett are at the Indoor Hockey and Soccer Center all week providing professional instruction to children of all ages. The camp runs from 9:30 am â 2:00 pm daily. The Indoor Hockey and Soccer Center is located at 8331 Kern Canyon Rd.
· Wednesday, June 19th - Cal, the baby Condor, Condors staff, and the Condors slapshot game will be at Fun Days at the Kern County Museum. from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Kern County Museum is located at 3801 Chester Ave.
· Thursday, June 20th - Colonel Claw'd and Condors staff will be at Arvin's Kern County Library at 10:30 am for Summer Reading Preschool Storytime. The Arvin Public Library is located at 201 Campus Dr.
· Thursday, June 20th - Join Condors players, staff, and the Condors slapshot game from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm at the Downtown Business Association's Downtown Street Fair on Chester Ave.
Week in review, June 10th - June 16th:
· Thursday, June 13th - Cal, the baby Condor and staff were at Tehachapi's Kern County Library for Summer Reading Preschool Storytime.
· Saturday, June 15th - Cal, the baby Condor, Condors staff, and the Condors slapshot was at the Kern County Museum to celebrate Radio Disney's "Shout It Out School Is Out" from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Kern County Museum is located at 3801 Chester Ave.
· Saturday, June 15th - Colonel Claw'd and Condors staff was at the San Dimas Orthodontic Center "Fun Day" from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. The event was sponsored by KUZZ 107.9 and Dedicated Dental Systems. San Dimas Orthodontic Center is located at 3807 San Dimas Street, suite C.
Condors Droppings:
· Sign up now for Coach Paul Kelly's Power-Skating Camp. Camp is on July 1st and 2nd at Centennial Garden starting at 12:30 pm for children and 5:30 pm for adults. Condors center Paul Willett, left wing Jeff Goldie and other select players will be in attendance. Call 324-PUCK (7825) to sign up now!
· Kern County Library, KGET-TV 17, and the Bakersfield Condors "A Ticket To Read 2002" is in full swing. Students who read a minimum of 10 books during the program will receive two free tickets to an early season Condors game. The program runs through July 27. Contact the Kern County Library at 868-0750 or log onto www.kerncountylibrary.org to sign up for the program or for more information. · On June 27, the Condors Care-a-van takes to the streets of Ridgecrest. With a morning in-line hockey camp, a luncheon with the Kiwanis Club, and a stop at Goodwill Industries to sign autographs. · This month's website auction features a golf outing for two (2) with two (2) players, and includes green fees, cart, lunch, and a golf shirt. Log onto www.bakersfieldcondors.com to place your bid. Proceeds go to benefit the American Red Cross âKern County Chapter.
