BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors (26-11-2-1, 55 points) overcame a two-goal third period deficit to prevail 4-3 over the Alaska Aces (19-19-2-2, 44 points) Wednesday night in the shootout at Rabobank Arena.

Bakersfield controlled much of the opening period, but couldn't beat Aces G Frank Doyle, who made 15 saves in the frame. That allowed Alaska to take the 1-0 lead, with C Alexandre Imbeault notching his 18th of the season on a breakaway at 15:11.

Alaska extended the lead in the opening minute of the second period, with F Brock McBride wristing home his 3rd of the season at :39. The Condors responded on the very next shift, with RW Ryan Menei finding the back of the net with his 10th of the season at 1:14. The Condors led in shots 15-7 in the period, and 30-12 through 40 minutes, but found themselves trailing.

The Aces looked to put the game out of reach early in the third when they made it 3-1 just 2:18 into the frame. But the Condors were relentless. C Adam Naglich had a centering feed deflect off an Aces' stick and in at 7:21 for his 7th of the season. He helped set up the equalizer as well, drawing it back to D Eric Regan, whose blast was redirected home off of a defenseman's stick at 19:28 to make it 3-3.

Neither club could light the lamp in overtime, pushing the game to a shootout. Bakersfield finished with a 46-15 shot advantage in the game. In the shootout, G Timo Pielmeier was perfect, stopping all four Aces shooters. Meanwhile, Menei and F Stephane Goulet both scored to give the Condors the win.
