Willmar Stingers News Release
Willmar, Minn. -- The Stingers have postponed the conclusion of Thursday night's game to Friday due to heavy rains that resulted in unplayable conditions.
With one out in the top of the sixth inning, Willmar and Duluth had play halted by lightning, which was followed by heavy rains that rendered the field at Bill Taunton Stadium unplayable.
The Stingers will finish the first game with Duluth at 6:05 p.m. Friday night and play will resume with one out in the top of the sixth inning. The regularly scheduled game will take place 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. Both games Friday night will be nine inning games.
Michael Suchy Bobblehead night presented by CDS is Friday night and the tokens will be given out at the main entrance starting at 6 p.m. Tickets from Thursday night's game will be valid for Friday night.
The 2015 Stingers season is presented by Marcus Construction. For more coverage of the Stingers visit the West Central Tribune online at www.wctrib.com.
