Comets Sign Defenseman Alex Wall to PTO

UTICA, N.Y. - Utica Comets Director of Hockey Operations Pat Conacher has announced that the club has signed defenseman Alex Wall to a professional tryout contract.

Wall, 26, has dressed in 29 games this season with the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL posting three goals, 18 assists (3-18-21) and 17 penalty minutes. The 5'11'', 190-pound defenseman is playing in his rookie season out of the University of New Brunswick. He has registered 122 career collegiate games scoring 16 goals, 44 assists (16-44-60) and 88 penalty minutes. Prior to college, the St. John's, Newfoundland native spent four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League amassing 267 games played with 22 goals, 92 assists (22-92-114), a plus-63 rating and 170 penalty minutes.

The Comets return to the AUD tonight against the Syracuse Crunch. Puck drops at 7 p.m. for the last home game until January 25. Fans are encouraged to utilize the ticket exchange website, StubHub!. The matchup can be heard on 94.9 KROCK and viewed on AHL Live.
