(Sat. Jan 13, 2018 15-10 v Sonora, Sun. Jan 14, 2018 14-10 v Monterrey.)
"We're going through a rough patch right now with a lot of injuries and players out of the line up," said Milwaukee Wave Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "But we don't want to be a team that makes excuses. We're figuring ourselves out and trying to keep our identity as much as we can."
The Wave had a 5-2 lead going into halftime, added two goals early in the third quarter and then gave up 7 unanswered goals to the rival Comets in the remainder of second half.
"We can't let that happen," exclaimed Oliviero. "We just need to do better in our 1v1 defending and being more assertive on the ball. This loss stings a lot but our young guys will learn from it and our veteran players will lead the way. We'll get thought this adversity, it's just a matter of when."
The rematch between the Wave and the Comets will take place this Monday at 11:07 am at UW Panther Arena in a special Martin Luther King Jr. Day game..
