
East Leading Tropics Look to Extended Win Streak to Four as Orlando Makes Another Sunday Visit

LAKELAND, Fla. - The Florida Tropics will look to win fourth straight, and second in a row over the Orlando SeaWolves in as many weeks, as they host their local rivals in a 3:05 p.m. kickoff at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland on Sunday, Jan.l 19.
The Tropics defeated the SeaWolves, 10-3, last Sunday, led by two goals and two assists by defender Drew Ruggles. The game will be broadcast live on WTTA-TV Great 38 in Tampa, and online at masl.tv.
Ricardo Carvalho leads the Tropics with 11 goals and 13 assists, and has at least one goal in every game for Florida this year other than a Dec. 28 home loss to Milwaukee, the team's only setback this year. Florida comes in with a record of 8-1, while Orlando is 1-7.
Joshio Sandoval is expected to make his Tropics debut. The standout defender who has 61 blocked shots in his last 64 games, was obtained in a trade with the SeaWolves several days ago.
Orlando is led by veteran Odaine Sinclair with three goals and five assists. Luiz Mota is the team's leading goal scorer with six.
Sunday's game will honor all area teachers, who can claim up to four free tickets each to the Orlando game, or the Jan. 25 home game against St. Louis, but going to fltropics.com/teachers.
