LITTLE FALLS, NJ - On Monday, September 13th the Frontier League announced its final Player of the Week Award for the 2021 regular season. New Jersey's Dalton Combs becomes the first Jackal to be honored after an outstanding final seven games of the season.

The Monroe, Indiana native led the league with 15 hits, two of which were doubles and three of which were home runs. He recorded 13 RBI and hit .536 over those seven games. His biggest day at the plate was during the 21-8 victory over the Washington Wild Things (two home runs, six RBI).

The 26 year old Combs finished the 2021 season with a .295 AVG (104 for 353), 21 2B, 6 3B, 8 HR, 47 RBI and 52 Runs Scored. He also successfully stole 12 bases in 19 attempts.

"This is what good players do, finish off strong and keep grinding." Said Jackals Manager Brooks Carey. Dalton was penciled into every Jackals lineup Carey wrote this season, playing in all 95 contests. He was the only Jackal to do so, and one of seven players league wide.

"I really enjoyed being in New Jersey this summer and getting an opportunity to play for the Jackals!" Combs said. "Thank you to Brooks [Carey] and my teammates for making it a fun summer."

Combs joined the Jackals after three seasons in the San Francisco Giants system, where he reached AAA. In 2020 he was a member of the Steel City Slammin' Sammies, a member of the pod season put on by the Washington Wild Things.
