
Columbus Destroyers host Bombshells auditions

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League will hold auditions for their official dance team, The Bombshells, starting November 13 at 6 p.m. on the field at Nationwide Arena. The 2007 Bombshell dance team will perform in front of more than 15,000 fans at all Destroyers home games, make personal appearances throughout the community and receive professional dance training from Bombshells coach and choreographer Shane Carpenter.
The preliminary round starts Monday, November 13, where basic formations will be taught and performed. The semi-final round will be held on Tuesday, November 14, where a select group of candidates will be chosen to advance to the final training camp where the 2007 Bombshells will be selected. Both the Preliminary and semi-final rounds will be held on the field at Nationwide Arena at 6 p.m. each night. The training camps will be held November 19, November 28, December 5, December 19, January 2, and January 7 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day.
Participants must be 18 years of age or older by December 31, 2006 and must be a high school graduate or hold a GED. All girls interested in becoming a Bombshell must live in (or relocate to) the greater Columbus area and have reliable transportation. The audition will consist of learning and executing a short jazz/hip-hop style routine. Participants do not need to bring prepared material to this audition.
