San Angelo Colts News Release

The Colts won big on Friday night beating Laredo 15-6 with a 19 hit attack. The Colts took game one of a three game set against the Broncos after being swept last week by Laredo. Also in this game, Tyrone Pendergrass played in game number 1000 of his professional career and fell one hit shy of reaching hit number 1000 as well.

San Angelo lead 1-0 after Kevin Bass drove in a run with an RBI single in the first. The lead did not last long as Laredo scored four in the top of the second and the Colts were down 4-1. After a scoreless third, the Colts stormed right back scoring three in the fourth to tie the game at 4-4. The Colts exploded in the fifth as they sent 11 men to the plate, scoring seven times and were on top 11-4. The Colts scored a pair of runs in the sixth and seventh to put it away as they took a 15-5 lead, and went on to win by a 15-6 final.

The Colts and Broncos go at it again in game two of this three game set on Saturday. San Angelo sends out southpaw Mark Goodman against right-hander Elliot Shaw. You can hear all the action starting with the pre-game show at 6:50 PM and the first pitch at 7:05 PM on COOL 100, KCLL 100.1 FM.
