San Angelo Colts News Release

HARLINGEN, Texas - The San Angelo Colts and Harlingen WhiteWings were unable to play even one inning of baseball in their scheduled three-game series in Harlingen because of continuous rainfall. After the series opener was rained out on Sunday and yesterday's scheduled doubleheader was wiped out, today's scheduled doubleheader has also been postponed, making it five days in a row that the Colts have been rained out.

They were also unable to play their last two games in Edinburg before traveling to Harlingen. Overall, the Colts played just one game, an 8-4 loss to the Coyotes, in their scheduled six-game road trip to the Rio Grande Valley.

Make-up dates for the three games against the ‘Wings have not yet been announced. The Colts visit Harlingen one more time in the regular season, from August 12-14, with an off-day for both teams on the 11th, the day before the series begins. The WhiteWings also go to San Angelo twice in the remainder of the year, from July 24-26 and August 5-7.

The Colts return home to Foster Field for a three-game series against Laredo, beginning Wednesday, July 9. Fans coming that night can receive a haircut from Sport Clips in return for a small donation to charity. Game time is 7:05 p.m. CT. Advertising, ticket, and group information are available by calling the box office at (325) 942-6587. All Colts games are broadcast live on "Cool 100" - KCLL 100.1 FM and online at the Colts' official website, www.sanangelocolts.com, which is updated daily with the latest team news.
