San Angelo Colts News Release
San Angelo, Texas---Hey Colts fans! The tenth anniversary season has been as successful as ever. San Angelo's most affordable family fun eclipsed the 100,000 attendance mark for the 2009 season. It is the third consecutive year that Foster Field has held more than 100,000.
The Colts would like to thank all of those who were vital to the success; host families, staff, management, and most importantly, the fans. You witnessed a regular season championship for the second straight year and are aiming for the ultimate goal: winning a United League Championship.
"Without the support of our fans and sponsors for promotional nights at the ballpark, we would have never been able to reach the attendance numbers," said General Manager, Mike Babcock. "San Angelo is just a great baseball town."
Office Manager and Ticketing Director, Lea Self, recognizes Colts history and appreciates the success the team has had both at the plate and at the Box Office.
"The fact that we've been able to accomplish this feat for the first time in team history is a testament to our fans here in San Angelo. We look forward to having our millionth fan sometime early next season."
As the Colts compete for their second championship in franchise history, fans can purchase tickets at the box office for the postseason. Wednesday is the first scheduled home game of the playoffs.
