Colts' Pat McAfee & Christy's of Indiana Provide Assists for Indy Eleven's May 16th Military Appreci

INDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, May 7, 2015) - Indy Eleven Professional Soccer and its Community Partner WISH for OUR HEROES are getting some big assists in support of the team's upcoming Military Appreciation Night, taking place during Indy Eleven's match at IUPUI's Carroll Stadium against Minnesota United FC on Saturday, May 16.

WISH for OUR HEROES will be front and center throughout Military Appreciation Night at "The Mike," with the organization being represented by Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee during the Erie Insurance Ceremonial First Kick pre-game festivities and benefitting from a special game-worn jersey auction.

Kickoff for the May 16th match is set for 7:30 p.m. ET, and tickets can be purchased at www.IndyEleven.com. If you would like to donate a block of tickets to the match for use by active and veteran military members and their families, please call 317-685-1100 (M-F, 9a-5p) and inquire about the club's Military Appreciation Program packages.

For years, the Colts fan-favorite McAfee has been a strong supporter of the Indiana Chapter of WISH for OUR HEROES, a not-for-profit organization whose primary missions are to raise funds for military members to provide basic needs for their families and facilitate fun and memorable experiences for military families so they can get re-acquainted after deployments. Through various initiatives in 2014, Indy Eleven and its fans raised more than $42,000 on behalf of WISH for OUR HEROES, which was one of Indy Eleven's first official Community Partners dating back to December 2013.

"The partnership between Indy Eleven and WISH for OUR HEROES continues to be rewarding for everyone involved," said Indy Eleven president and general manager Peter Wilt. "So many families have already been able to relax and enjoy a night out at Carroll Stadium through this relationship, and we're looking forward to many more getting that opportunity on May 16th thanks to the tremendous efforts of WISH for OUR HEROES."

Another assist for Military Appreciation Night is coming from Christy's of Indiana, which is hosting an online auction for the special edition camouflage jerseys that Indy Eleven will don for the match versus Minnesota. Bids are now being accepted at http://bids.indyeleven.com for the soon-to-be-game-worn authentic Diadora jerseys, which feature the WISH for OUR HEROES emblem on the back of the shirt and the patch of Indy Eleven Corporate Partner Indiana National Guard on the right sleeve.

"The support of Indy Eleven has allowed WISH for OUR HEROES to help hundreds of local families enjoy a much needed night out and others with emergency needs such as food, car repairs and even something as simple as school uniforms. All proceeds from the auction will go to WISH for OUR HEROES, which will also have volunteers walking the stands throughout the match accepting donations from fans that help pack "The Mike" that night. The online jersey auction will close at 8:30 p.m. ET on May 16th, and fans in attendance at the match will also have the ability to make their bids in the stadium through that time.
