San Angelo, Texas --- Left fielder Cory Patton hit the Colts' first grand slam of the season and drove in five runs to lead his team to a 14-6 victory over the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings Saturday night at Foster Field.

The first-inning grand slam was Patton's seventh homer of the year. Five RBIs gives Patton a league-high 66.

After the grand slam, the Colts led 4-2. San Angelo went on to score six more runs by the end of the fifth inning. In that time frame, centerfielder Ronnie Gaines hit a two-RBI triple and third baseman Landon Camp scored twice.
