Colts Bring Back All-Time Saves Leader and Keller Native

San Angelo, Texas---Two more players were added to the Colts roster, as San Angelo signed right handed pitcher Chace Vacek and infielder/outfielder Jon Edwards. Vacek is the Colts all-time saves leader, while Edwards comes to San Angelo after five seasons in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.
With 25 career saves in a San Angelo uniform, Chace Vacek is the Colts all-time leader. Vacek will pitch with the Colts for the fourth year after a career at Angelo State. Out of college he signed with the Kansas City Royals and reached high-A High Desert of the California League. Last season with San Angelo, Chace went 3-3 with four saves in 29 appearances.
Edwards, a 14th round draft pick of the Cardinals out of Keller High School (TX) in 2006, played for the Batavia Muckdogs of the New York Penn League last season and appeared in 43 games. Jon's best minor league season came in 2008, when he hit a combined .390 with 10 home runs and 29 RBI in stints with Batavia and the Quad Cities River Bandits.
