San Angelo Colts News Release

Robstown, TX- Mike Henry took the mound in Robstown knowing that his teammates were looking for a good game from him, after a rough 8-3 loss the night before. Henry answered the bell, pitching a 5 hit, complete game shutout, the 1st of the season tossed by a Colts pitcher. The Aviators never even had a serious threat, as they failed to get a runner past 2nd base. Offensively, San Angelo got all they would need early, as the Colts got a run in the 1st, 4 in the 2nd, highlighted by a 3-run Juan Rocha blast, his 10th of the season.

San Angelo would tack on another 3 in the 4th with 3 straight RBI hits. The cherry on top was a 9th inning Kasey Wilson solo shot, his 3rd this year of the season, all of which have come against the Aviators. Jonathan Guzman took the loss, pitching 3 innings, allowing 8 of the 9 runs while Henry improved to 4-1 wth the win. Jorge Diaz was 3-4 on the night with 3 runs scored, while Coastal Bend had a solid night from Carlos Adolfo, 2-3 in the game. With the W the Colts now have 2nd place to themselves in the West, but still trail Edinburg by 6 games.
