San Angelo Colts News Release

San Angelo, Texas---San Angelo made a couple of moves on Thursday as they signed one pitcher and released another. San Angelo, who sits in first place by 3 1/2 games, continues to tinker to try and get the perfect balance for the long hall. The Colts signed righty Vic Ferrante this afternoon and release fellow right-hander Walt Goodline.

Ferrante, who played his college ball at Solano Community College (CA), was drafted three times, the last by the Colorado Rockies in 2006 in the 15th round. Ferrante spent 2010 in the Golden League with Tucson. Ferrante a former hitter will continue to make the conversion from hitter to pitcher with the Colts.

To counter the move San Angelo has released right-hander Walt Goodline (0-0, 13.50). Goodline saw action in two games, pitching four innings, giving up six runs on eight hits and had one strikeout.
