August 10, 2009 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
Tonight's game between the Colorado Springs Sky Sox and the Memphis Redbirds was suspended in the bottom of the first inning because of rain and hail. The Sky Sox had a runner on first and one out with a 3-0 count on the batter Dan Ortmeier. The Redbirds had gone down in order in the top of the first.
The game will be played tomorrow as part of a doubleheader with the first game resuming at 5:00 PM from the point it was stopped in the bottom of the first. It will be played to it's nine-inning completion and following it's conclusion the regularly scheduled game will be played at a shortened seven innings.
