BRYAN WINDSOR OF BOULDER TRAINS WITH FIRST TEAM: Rapids U-18 midfielder Bryan Windsor from Boulder, Colo., trained with Colorado Rapids first team on Wednesday and Thursday this week, gaining valuable playing experience under Oscar Pareja as he prepares for official college visits. Windsor, who recently participated in "The Chance", an international competition hosted by Nike in Barcelona, Spain, as one of four finalists, will continue to train with the first team as his high school schedule permits throughout the winter.

ROGERS AND NEW MEXICO TO HOST CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT AS FIRST SEED: Rapids Academy forward James Rogers and the University of New Mexico will play their final match of the regular season this Saturday against Houston Baptist. Then on Nov. 9, the Lobos will begin the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation tournament, which they have earned the right to host by finishing first in the MPSF with a 7-2-0 record. Rogers, in his sophomore year with #9 New Mexico, has scored six goals this season, including the game winner in the Lobos' last match against Houston Baptist on Sept. 30, and added four assists in 14 games played.

SERNA ASSISTS GAME WINNER TO KEEP AKRON WIN STREAK ALIVE: Rapids Academy midfielder Dillon Serna notched his eighth assist of the season on Oct. 27 in #2 Akron's 4-0 win over Hartwick. Serna has scored two goals this season, and is the only freshman to have played in all 17 matches so far, helping the Zips to an undefeated 6-0 record in the Mid-American Conference and a 12-game undefeated streak (11 wins).

RAPIDS U-18 BOYS OUST HOUSTON DYNAMO 2-1, FALL 2-0 TO TEXANS: The Colorado Rapids Under-18 squad earned a 1-1-0 record in last weekend's Development Academy play, bringing them to a 4-2-2 (W-L-T) record and 3rd in points with 14 in the Frontier Division. The team first defeated the Houston Dynamo 2-1 on Saturday, Oct. 27 with late goals from Kurt Young and Austin Seifert, who leads the team with four goals this season. Goalkeeper Andrew Epstein had a stand-out game, including a dramatic save in the 90th minute to preserve the shutout. The team then fell 2-0 to Texans SC Houston on Sunday. The Under-18 squad will have a bye this weekend, facing FC Dallas, last year's Development Academy champions, on November 10 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

UNDER-16 SQUAD TIED FOR FIRST IN DIVISION AFTER TIE AND LOSS LAST WEEKEND: The Colorado Rapids Under-16 team remains in first place in total points (16) in the Frontier Division, tied with Solar Chelsea SC, and a 5-2-1 (W-L-T) record. The squad dropped a 2-0 result to the Houston Dynamo on Oct. 27, and earned a 1-1 draw with Texans SC Houston with a goal from Remington Ellis. The boys have a bye this weekend and will return to action on November 10 against FC Dallas at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
