Colorado Rapids and Dick's Sporting Goods Launch #RapidsRoadTrip

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Saturday, June 1, 2013) - The Colorado Rapids and Dick's Sporting Goods have teamed up for the second year to offer fans a chance to go on a #RapidsRoadTrip, an online contest to win a flyaway trip with the team. Fans will use the Rapids' Twitter and Facebook pages to enter and participate in the contest, the first leg of which launches today.
#RapidsRoadTrip is a three-part contest where fans can win a trip to Seattle or Portland to watch a Rapids road game, and the grand prize (which the winners of the first two contests will be eligible to win as well) is a trip to London, England to see two European soccer matches. All three prizes include roundtrip airfare for two from Denver, two nights (four for England) stay at the Rapids team hotel, and two tickets to the Rapids match or a soccer game in London. The first leg of the contest runs from today, June 1, to July 1, and fans can enter to win a trip to the July 20th match at Seattle Sounders FC by submitting their favorite Rapids or Dick's Sporting Goods "Untouchable Moment" to Twitter or Facebook with the #RapidsRoadTrip hashtag. The top 10 fans with the most likes or retweets of their submission will be voted on by a panel of judges, made up of Dick's Sporting Goods and Colorado Rapids executives.
During the entry periods for all three legs of #RapidsRoadTrip, instant winners will be announced at each Rapids home game during the contest to receive four tickets to a future Rapids home game, access to watch pregame warm ups, and on-field recognition at halftime.
