Colorado Crush News Release
FORT COLLINS, CO - The Colorado ICE (5-7) face the Pacific Division leading Billings Outlaws (11-1) this Saturday, June 20th at 7:00 pm (MTN Time) at the Rimrock Auto Arena in Billings, Montana. This is the second meeting between the heated rivals, the first occurring on March 28th with the ICE losing in a down-to-the-wire 46-41 contest.
The playoff-bound Colorado ICE continue to battle for a second place Pacific Division finish which would ensure the ICE a home playoff game. The Outlaws have only one loss this year and feature a high-scoring offense led by the three-time IFL player of the week, QB Chris Dixon, who has 60 passing TDs and 10 rushing scores. The ICE have been plagued by player injuries all year, but still feature a talented offense led by RB Eugene Reed, WR Josh Gibson, and ICE newcomer RB Maurice Cantrell.
"We have got a tough couple of games ahead of us," stated ICE head coach Collins Sanders. "The Outlaws are a talented team and we have had some great battles with them over the past few years. Saturday's contest will be good preparation for the talent we will face in the playoffs."
This Saturday's game will be broadcast live via the Internet on the B2 network (B2tv.com) and on the radio on Northern Colorado's ESPN affiliate KJMP AM 870. The ICE's next game will be on the road against the El Paso Generals on Saturday, June 27th at 6:00pm (MTN) and will be the ICE's last regular-season game of 2009.
The Colorado ICE are members of the Indoor Football League (IFL). All home games are played at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado.
