The Indoor Football League (IFL) announced on Wednesday that Wild running back Darius Fudge has been named IFL Offensive Player of the Week for Week 14. Fudge set a new IFL record by rushing for five touchdowns in Wichita?s 39-37 victory over the Omaha Beef. The win put Wichita one victory away from clinching the franchise?s first ever playoff berth.

In addition to the five touchdowns, Fudge ran for 98 yards in the game to bring his league leading total to 774. Fudge is looking to be the first running back in indoor football since 2005 to rush for over 900 yards in a season. Fudge also leads the league in rushing touchdowns with 23. Fudge is the fifth Wild player to be recognized as Player of the Week this season.

Other players recognized this week were Nick Pertuit of Abilene as Special Teams Player of the Week and Dale Buck of Rochester as Defensive Player of the Week.
